HomeServe: £10 compensation to customers for silent or abandoned calls-uk

We all hate those dead calls that we answer with no one on the end, or the line is quickly disconnected. These are often a result of excessive calls from call-centre automated diallers
(known as robocalls), and where there aren’t enough telemarketers to take all the responses.

One company, HomeServe, is offering compensation (for a 7 week period) to its prescribers for this annoying practice. The linked article also offers general approaches to deal with telenuisance calls in the UK.
